New Brand . . . New Beginning.

Back in 2009, we created AfallaStudios LLC. At the time AfallaStudios was just that- a photography studio. We were always creating various types of photography from high school senior portraits to headshots. However, we started to enjoy working with brides mainly because of the project management aspect. Having a strong background in marketing for government agencies, we started to implement the same tools from project management into our weddings. But the brand AfallaStudios just wasn't appealing to our brides. First off, what’s an AfallaStudios anyway? Is it studio space to rent out? And how does it relate to a bride? These were questions that we had to face and decided to create White Tiaré Weddings.

In November of 2019, we created a brand for our wedding photography. White Tiaré Weddings is our new brand for the modern bride. A bride that utilizes anything from social media to print products such as wall-size prints and albums. We didn’t want to look like every other photographer in the city either. Everyone is a photographer thanks to Steve Jobs of Apple and the Apple iPhone. Photographers or picture takers are taking the short cuts of putting a filter on it and calling it ‘good enough’. We just don’t do that type of work in our studio. Of course, we can execute what everyone else is doing with filters but at the end of the day, it’s up to our brides in what they want. We like to tell the story of a couple’s love for each other through photos and videos. We had to find a way to separate ourselves from everyone else in the industry. Our style is 70% photojournalism and 30% posing. It’s about creating a conversation and capturing a reaction from our couples. It’s about laughter, smiles, non-smiles and being silly in front of our lens. It’s about the overall experience of capturing real love between a couple.

People often say the word ‘Tiaré’ wrong. Some say, Tiara. Either way is correct. We wanted our new wedding brand to attract modern brides. Brides that can look at our logo and allow the words to flow easily. The Tiaré is a Tahitian gardenia flower that grows wild in all of Polynesia. We wanted the brand to reflect the Polynesian culture of the lead photographer, Walter Afalla. And the word Tiaré derives from the French word “Tiara” which means crown and what bride doesn’t want to be treated like a queen on her wedding day. Right? So our new brand is all about strategy. A strategy that attracts brides from all walks of life and cultures. We chose the color white to relate to weddings and the color orange/gold to draw your eyes to the word Tiaré. And notice the flower that makes the letter '“i” in the word Tairé? That’s what the Tiaré flower looks like- simple yet full of fragrance. It’s a flower that is worn both by men and women in Polynesia. Yes, the men wear them too. And that’s why we also serve the LGBTQ community. We’re here for everyone.

If you know of a couple who is looking for a photography service that provides both photo and video, tell them about White Tiaré Weddings. We’re here to help and make their wedding day memorable.
